Bundling up five hybrid shells, this Starclassic WBR52RZS five-piece brings all the sound as well as some stage-worthy Tama flair. The smart shell construction combines American black walnut with European birch to ensure a balanced and focussed response wrapped in tonal warmth, where the walls of both the toms and floor toms combine five layers of birch with two inner layers of walnut to complete a 6mm profile, while the bass drum features a slightly thicker five-ply layer of birch to complete an 8mm wall. The inner walls have been lacquered to strengthen the overall build and the outer wall comes sealed in a Red Oyster Duracover wrap.

The pack includes a 22 inch by 16 inch kick drum, a 10 inch by 7 inch and 12 inch by 8 inch tom and a 14 inch by 12 inch and 16 inch by 14 inch floor tom, so you're looking at the core of a formidable and versatile kit. Both hanging toms have also been kitted out with the Tama-developed Star-Cast mounting system plus a set of Quick-Lock brackets and MC69 tom mounts that team up support enhanced resonance when combined with compatible cymbal stands (not included). To finish, each shell comes equipped with Starclassic lugs and Die-Cast hoops.
