The Audio Technica AT875R is a shotgun microphone that is specifically designed for video productions and broadcasting applications (ENG/EFP). It is the shortest shotgun microphone by Audio Technica and therefore excellent for mounting on a compact digital camera. Thanks to its hyper-cardioid pickup pattern, it is highly directional and only picks up sound that’s at thein front of the microphone. Sound on the sides and back of the microphone is ignored, ensuring that only the sound of your intended sound source is picked up and allowing you to film in a noisy environment. This condenser microphone is phantom powered via the camera. The Audio Technica AT875R is a compact, very natural-sounding camera microphone.

Een heel goedkope microfoon, ideaal om als ambiancemicrofoon te gebruiken op je camera. Is meteen een upgrade tegenover de interne microfoons van een gemiddelde ENG-camera. Om stem op te nemen zou ik hem niet gebruiken daar zijn nog betere richtmicrofoons voor, denk maar aan de Sennheiser MKH 416 of de 8060.
Maar om omgevingsgeluid en volsom op te nemen voor reportages en docu, is de microfoon bijzonder geschikt.
In de verpakking zit een gewatteerd tasje, een microfoonhouder en twee rubberen ringen waarvan de functie me niet duidelijk is.

Deze shotgun gekocht voor mijn FS5. Het geluid dat eraf komt klinkt erg goed en het geheel is mooi compact. Ik heb wel zelf een kort kabeltje gesoldeerd, maar dat kost je ook de kop niet. De mic is echt een bang for your buck

Por el precio que tiene es un micro muy capaz, pequeño, e incluso funciona sin necesidad de phantom en cámaras que tengan algo de voltaje en el jack. También lo hemos usado para hacer alguna grabación de voice over con buenos resultados. Sin duda una herramienta muy útil!

Zelf heb ik behoorlijk wat research gedaan voordat ik voor deze shotgun microfoon heb gekozen. Voor een entry level prijs een topmicrofoon voor op je camera of boomstick. Mijn keus was gevallen op deze microfoon met name omdat ik een media bedrijfje ga beginnen/ ben begonnen \ en deze microfoon zorgt voor prima pro-geluid voor een wel hele redelijke prijs.

Ik heb het geluid van deze microfoon vergeleken met mijn rode mic (weet typenummer niet, maar mijn oude rode kostte +/- 100 euro) Deze Audio Technica AT875R is veeel beter! Hij neemt geluid beter op dan ik het zelf hoor. Hij is klein, past goed op mijn kleine videocamera (sony x70). Er zit geen XLR snoer bij helaas. Die heb ik zelf op maat moeten solderen (25euro), omdat ik geen lang snoer langs mijn camera wil hebben hangen. (kortste snoer verkrijgbaar is 50cm)
