General
The Rode NTG2 is a directional microphone that's specifically designed for the film, video, television, voice-over and ENG industry. The main difference between the NTG2 and NTG1 is an internal battery. It has an electronically balanced output and operates on 48 volts (P48 camera stand) and optionally on an internal 1.5V AA battery. The NTG2 features a wide bandwidth and controlled frequency range, combined with SMT electronics, which ensures an excellent signal/noise ratio.
As the NTG2 is light-weight, it's ideal for mounting on a video camera or boom pole. A Rode WSVM windshield is included, for adequate attenuation of plosives. Not without reason, the NTG series is a popular accessory at most renowned TV channels and production studios, all over the world.

Op internet wordt deze mic soms afgekraakt, maar dat vind ik compleet onterecht! Ik vind hem zeer geschikt voor het indoor en outdoor opnemen van stemmen. Hij pakt de stem goed op, vooral ook in het laag. Hierdoor klinken stemmen goed vol. Het is wel een gevoelige mic, dus de galm van de kamer/ruimte pikt hij ook wel op en achtergrond geluiden ook. Maar het is vooral een VOL en RIJK geluid van de stem die de mic zeer goed oppakt. De signaal/ruis verhouding is ook uitstekend.

Dit is naar mijn mening een degelijke spraakmicrofoon als je die zo dicht mogelijk bij de geluidsbron houdt. De microfoon is niet zo gevoelig, wil je bijvoorbeeld het geluid van een klok oppikken zal er veel ruis bijkomen met een minder goede pre-amp (voorbeeld zoom h6). Voor muziekopnames niet aan te raden, daar bestaan betere types microfonen voor.

Voor mijn Indie Film Project was ik op het beste microfoon dat binnen mijn budget past. Het moest uiteraard ook precies bij de scenes passen die ik van plan ben om te schieten. Na lang research te hebben gedaan ben ik voor mijn doel bij de RODE NTG2 uitgekomen en ik ben er heel erg tevreden over.

Voor live toepassingen helaas niet geschikt omdat hij snel gaat rondzingen.
Wel opeens 60 euro duurder geworden gelukkig had ik hem nog voor de oude prijs.

Deze microfoon is echt super super goed! Niet alleen geeft wel goed geluid als je hem aansluit op de camera maar het geeft nog beter geluid als e hem aansluit op de zoom h4n. Maar de microfoon voelt heel lekker in de hand dus goed voor journalisten, en een van de handigste dingen is dat je er batterijen in kan doen(AA batterijen)!! Dat is super handig want anders moet je phantom power gebruiken en dt gaat alleen maar af van je camera batterij! Ik raad deze microfoon zeker aan als je niet genoeg geld hebt voor de duurdere versie de røde ntg 3. Ze zijn bijna het zelfde kwaliteit geluid.

Handig voor zowel handheld of op de camera of boompole. Leuke feature is dat deze ook zonder phantom power kan werken (met een AA batterij). Wordt geleverd met een mooie opbergzak.
Goede geluidskwaliteit voor een schappelijke prijs (in vergelijking met zijn grotere broer, NTG3).

Super microfoon. Zowel voor op de camera, voice over of hengelen. Prachtige kwaliteit voor deze relatief lage prijs. Ook de richtingsgevoeligheid is super. Als je de microfoon van je mond af draait ben je bijna niet te horen.
Alleen is het wel heel belangrijk wat voor audiorecorder en snoeren je gebruikt, dat kan het verschil tussen dag en nacht betekenen. Zelf gebruik ik de Zoom H4n en een Yellow Cable.
