RØDE NTG4+ Directional Condenser Microphone

The Rode NTG4+ is a directional condenser microphone that's based on the successful NTG2. It has a brand-new condenser capsule, however, that's characterised by low noise, high sensitivity and three handy controls. Its built-in battery lets you record audio for 150 continuous hours, without having to use phantom power (which still is an option, however). The XLR output features a USB connector, which lets you charge the battery within two hours.

The Rode NTG4+: Professional recordings

With its high-quality super-cardioid capsule, this shotgun microphone picks up sound in a highly accurate and directional fashion, making it fit for creating professional speech recordings. If the sound source is too loud, the pad button comes in handy, as it lowers the sensitivity by 10 dB. The high-pass function counters low frequencies - one press of a button and everything below 75 Hz is left out of the recording. Via the XLR output, the NTG4+ sends the sound in broadcasting quality to your camera or mixer. The presence of a battery precludes the need for a phantom power supply.
