With the Rycote Super-Softie windshield, you'll be sure your Schoeps CMIT 5 shotgun microphone captures the best audio possible. Any background noise is filtered out and the result is a clean, undisturbed signal. Just like any Rycote accessory, this windshield is equipped with the patented Lyre shock mount system so that vibrations are kept to a minimum. The Super-Softie Kit is suitable for any shotgun microphone that is between 19 and 25 mm in diameter. The kit includes a shoe adapter for mounting on a camera and can also be used with a boom pole.

Wrote the following about Rycote Super-Softie Kit CMIT
Doet ietwat onconventioneel aan t.o.v. de zogenaamde dooie kat. Maar..... de winddemping is evengoed en de geluidskwaliteit blijft overeind. Een bijkomend voordeel is, een natte geworden kat moet je vertroetelen met, nouja ik wil nu niet meteen zeggen een föhn maar een borsteltje is wel op zn plek. De Super-Softy kun je, weliswaar met beleid, gewoon het water eruit knijpen en laten drogen. De klem/shockmount komt goed van pas bij de montage op de vide rig / boom.
Dus prima als je de winddemping wilt zonder in te boeten op de geluidskwaliteit en een Een Hollandse bui moet trotseren.
