General
In 2009, Pearl introduced the revolutionary Demon Drive bass drum pedal. Now they bring us the Pearl P-930 Demonator: based on the award winning Demon Drive, it is a great addition to this highly successful series of pedals. The Demonator is a bass drum pedal with a sturdy, single chain and comes equipped with the Demon Style Powershifter longboard.
Click-Lock
You can easily adjust the pedal to suit your preferences thanks to the combination of the interchangeable cams and the infinitely adjustable beater angle. On top of that, you get Pearl's Click-Lock tension keepers and the versatile Control Core beater. The Demonator is the bass drum pedal in Pearl's 930 and 830 series of hardware. Of course you can also get the Demonator as a double pedal.

Het klembereik van de klem is wat aan de krappe kant: hele dunne bass drum randen worden zonder de meegeleverde rubberen strip niet goed geklemd. Dat heb je bijvoorbeeld in combinatie met de bass drum van electronische drummstellen met een stalen voetplaat. Daarom een punt aftrek.
Als je dit hebt overwonnen speelt het pedaal heel goed. Door de lange voetplaat kun je ook heal-toe techniek goed gebruiken. Bij korte pedalen zou je bijvoorbeeld steeds je moet moeten draaien.
