A snare drum doesn't have to be expensive to be effective! This 10 x 5.5-inch Mapex MPX Steel is a true all-rounder. Its 1mm-thick steel shell allows for plenty of tone and resonance. Because of its small size, this is an excellent, explosive side snare that will cut through anything if you tune it nice and tight.

It's equipped with 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops which allow for ear-splitting rimshots and keep your snare drum perfectly in tune for a long time. The low-mass lugs make minimal contact with the shell and allow it to resonate freely, enhancing the sound.

Furthermore, the snare is equipped with Remo UX drumheads, making it easy to tune and further enhancing its sound.
