General

Odery's Eyedentity Series is home to a number of original snare drums with creative designs. Measuring 14 x 4.5", this example is a classic piccolo snare, which means it packs a fast response and offers a slightly higher-pitched sound that's balanced out with a sweet dose of low-end shaped by the maple shell. To finish, Odery have mounted dual-tuning tension blocks, a 2.3mm Power Hoop and a set of Evans UNO drum heads.

Odery has recently changed the strainers on the Eyedentity and Custom snare drums. This snare includes the strainer seen in the second image.

Wrote the following about Odery Eyedentity 14 x 4.5-Inch Maple Snare Drum (Natural)

Naast mijn metalen Sonor Prolite 14x5 wilde ik nog een houten snare aanschaffen. Voor backup en vooral betaalbaar. En hout omdat ik gelezen heb dat de klank iets warmer overkomt.
Ik kwam uit bij deze Odory. Het duurde drie kwartier voordat ik 'm gestemd had, maar ik ben heel blij met het resultaat. En vooral blij met de aankoop, want inderdaad, de klank is minder schel dat de Sonor (gelijk gestemd) en ik hoef maar één gel-demper te gebruiken. De vellen zijn van Evans, toevallig precies naar mijn smaak. Past prima in het genre waarvoor ik hem gebruik (Egerländer/Böhmische Blasmusik).
