From the 10-inch diameter and 5.5-inch deep steel shell to the mounted lugs and the 1.6mm triple-flanged tensions hoops, the Tama Metalworks Black Steel snare comes coated entirely in light-eating, matte-black, while the ring that punctures the middle of the shell provide reinforcement. The tuning range of this deeper-than-average snare is surprisingly immense, and the response packs presence whether tuned to a higher or lower register, making it perfect for the genre-hopping, hard working drummer.
