General
Aluminium, brass, steel, and wood have gone into the shaping of every Tama Starphonic snare to date, making this the first to be made of copper. This unique drum has a 14-inch diameter and 7-inch depth with a 1.2mm thick shell fitted with chrome-plated hardware. The Satin Hairline finish creates a neat, steel-wool brushed effect while the sound of this snare is best described as dark and raw, with rich and present lower frequencies. A set of Tama's self-titled 'Freedom Lugs', a 10-holed 'Grooved' tension hoop, an MS20RL14C snare-mat, and Evans G1 batter and resonance heads complete the whole.
