With the Tama WP1455BK-BOW Woodworks Black Oak Wrap snare, you're getting a whole lot of snare drum for a lot less cash. Like all Tama Woodworks snares, this model features an eight-ply poplar shell, giving it a warm and full response backed up by plenty of attack. The matte-black shell hardware doesn't do any harm either, from the tension hoops to the lugs and the tensioning mechanics. Add that to the Black Oak Wrap finish and you get a snare with a natural vibe and modern edge. A solid all-rounder with a 14 inch diameter and 5.5 inch depth, this model will definitely serve as a great main snare but can also be set up as a side snare.
