General
Your snare wires play an important role in shaping your snare drum sound; the unmistakable sizzle of the wires separates your snare from your other drums.
This particular set of snare wires consists of 20 stainless steel strands. On a 12-inch snare, this leaves some room for the tones that the vibrations in the shell itself produces, while still emphasising the snare sound. Overall, that means you get a beautifully balanced snare drum sound.
This set of 12-inch, 20-strand Mapex snare wires will give your snare a nicely balanced sound that will fit right into your set-up!
