General

PureSound has created a range of string mats with as many as 30 strings with the Super 30 series. The mat's design gives a snare drum a full string sound without compromising the natural sound of the shell. The S1230 does require a slightly wider string bed than usual (3 to 3.5 inches). The top-quality steel alloy ensures fast response and clear articulation. The copper end plates allow the mat to be firmly attached to the tensioner and holder. This mat is suitable for somewhat softer styles of music, where ghost notes are commonly used.
