Hal Leonard The Real Book Volume I (C Instruments)

As a must-have for any level jazz musician, Real Books are undoubtedly the most read books on jazz ever. Volume I is the most famous of them all and includes the chords and melodies for roughly 400 jazz standards. This version here is the one for C instruments; an absolute must-have for any and all jazz musicians that was legally published for the first time by Hal Leonard in 2004.

The Real Book: Sixth Edition

Hal Leonard calls this edition, for which royalties are paid to the entitled composers, 'The Real Book Volume I - Sixth Edition'. It is a reference to the famous (but illegal) Fifth Edition. The song list in the Sixth Edition is largely the same and in addition, many of the infamous errors have been corrected. Together with volume II and III, it's a seriously complete collection of jazz classics!
