Escort 5000: The Mixer
The extensive mixer of the Escort 5000 is incredibly comprehensive yet as compact as the system itself. The eight input channels are shaped via the three-band tone controls including Mid-Morph and besides that, there's the aforementioned MP3 player as well as digital effects, a seven-band graphic EQ for the master output and a patented feedback prevention system (FLS). The MP3 player and effects are controlled via a clear LCD screen while, if you need to start shaking the room, there's an output included for a subwoofer and a monitor.
The Speakers and the Setup
Every component of the Escort 5000 can be packed down into the integrated case. The case is fitted with solid handles and a set of wheels for the simplest possible transport and, once you're on location and start building up, you find the lid is made up of the satellite speakers and that the mixer comfortably slots into the centre of the case, leaving enough room for the speaker stands and mixer stands and with space left for your own microphones, cables and accessories.
