General
With some installations and in some theatres the DMX set-up is not great. This is usually because a lot of older DMX systems still work via the XLR 5-pin system that used to be the official standard. Because of the increased use of the XLR 3-pin, a lot of DMX devices now have a 3-pin input. This means that you will sometimes have a hard time getting the right plug for the right device as some still have the 5-pin input and others have the 3 or 4-pin input. To make things simpler Accu-cable has created some handy adapters that can solve your connector-problems. It's a must-have for in your lighting flight case or tool box, you never know when you will need an adaptor like this to save the show.

Maar de uitleg die hier gegeven wordt is echt wel onzin: 5 pins DMX zou "verouderd" zijn, en 3 pins dus "modern". In werkelijkheid voldoen 3 pins DMX pluggen gewoon niet aan de DMX standaard, en worden zelfs expliciet verboden in de laatste versie van die standaard. Kijk op www.usitt.org !

Had deze nodig om mijn lichten op mijn lichtsturing te kunnen hangen. Op zich zeer handig voor een goedkoop bedrag. Doet wat het moet doen, dus ik ben er tevreden over!

-: connectoren schuiven stroef in elkaar (maar is geen probleem als je niet constant los moet koppelen)
-: lijkt wat een warboel met al die connectoren op zo'n korte plek maar dat heb je steeds als je zo'n overgangen moet maken.
