Like many other light effect manufacturers, Showtec provides a unit for basic lighting: the EPC-1. This compact device lets you easily control the basic functions of your light effects, so that you will have a certain measure of control over your lighting, without having to fuss over it the entire time.

Construction and controls of the EPC-1

The EPC-1 Easy Preset Controller has a 6.35mm stereo jack plug connector, which can be plugged in to the designated light effects. Subsequently, you need to connect the 5m cable to your DJ booth and from then on you will be able to switch between the basic functions, allowing you to choose between a sound-controlled or automatic operating mode and letting you control the built-in programs and black-out function. These are all practical options for people who don't want to take too much time controlling the lighting.
