General
Meinl has a number of series consisting of hand-crafted cymbals, amongst which is the renowned Byzance series. The B10S comes from that series, and is a 10-inch splash cymbal that stems from the European cymbal making traditions. It has a traditional finish and is made of B20 bronze (80% copper, 20% tin), making this Traditional Splash exceedingly durable.
Meinl Byzance B10S: deliberate accent splash
Because each Byzance cymbal is hand-crafted, no two cymbals sound exactly the same. However, all B10S splashes share the same powerful, sharp attack, followed by a nice wash and smooth spread. For quick, rhythmic accents and enrichment of your grooves, this Byzance splash is an excellent addition to your kit, while its accessible sound makes it a great fit for numerous styles of music.
