General

Like all Prelude Series strings, the D'Addario J1010 Prelude Cello 4/4 Medium strings are many-a cello teacher's choice thanks to their warm sound, brilliant stick response and longevity. These steel-core strings can be slapped onto any standard full-size cello and come wrapped up in an airtight pack so they're as fresh as can be when it's time for a re-string.

D'Addario J1010 Prelude Cello 4/4 Medium Strings

As a novice, I'm just starting out. My teacher recommended these strings, and even to my beginner's ears, they sound amazing. There are, of course, cheaper versions, but the depth and richness of the sound are just too good to ignore.
