General
The ATH-M50x headphones are the successors of the successful ATH-M50 studio headphones. This model features new magnets, improved isolation and aluminium voice coils, further improving the audio quality. Moreover, the rotatable earpieces are highly comfortable to wear and three detachable cables are also included. A UDG Creator Headphone Hard Case is provided for protection.
Over-ear design
For optimal attenuation of ambient noise, the headphones feature over-ear earpieces, which also allow you to fully enjoy the effect of the 45mm Neodymium drivers. These make for an accurate, balanced frequency response of 15 Hz to 28 kHz, making the headphones suited for studio recordings, DJing, broadcasting, live music, or whatever application you like!
Headphone Hard Case
UDG cases are renowned for their durability and protective qualities. This particular hard case from the Creator series has an exterior of EVA Durashock with a laminated polyester finish. Its interior provides enough space for the ATH-M50x headphones and all accessory cables. An additional compartment is also present for a USB stick or other accessories.

Past prima om een Sennheiser HMDC 27 headset heen. Lekker stevig uitgevoerd. Wel te klein voor Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro en AKG K712 headset, die hebben te grote oorschelpen. Hoofdtelefoons met oorschelpen met een diameter tot 8 a 9 cm passen erin.

Deze review naar aanleiding van de vorige op 4 juli 2021, inmiddels heb ik mijn probleem opgelost door er een paar stoffen (fluweel) earpads bij te kopen via de chinees, het ding zit nu comfortabel en zuigt mn oren nu niet meer vacuum waardoor ik mn "bloed" hoorde stromen en mn hart kon horen kloppen) en geen gezweet meer na een tijd , dit maakte het nu tot mn favoriete koptelefoon, want ja het geluid was al gewoon beregoed. Ik hoop dat fabrikanten voorgoed die skai bekleding op de pads uit gaan bannen

Wat een mooi apparaat! Prachtig geluid zit erin. Hij kan ook echt goed hard! Ideaal om mee te draaien. Hij zit comfortabel genoeg voor die paar uurtjes. Fijn ook geleverd met 3 verschillende kabels.
Ik snap dat je deze koptelefoon in de DJ wereld vaak ziet. Ik denk dat we hem ook nog een lange tijd zullen blijven zien ;)

Qua geluid de beste die ik heb gehad en dat zijn er heel veel geweest in de loop der jaren. Enige nadeel is dat de coating van de oorkussens op den duur loslaat.

Koptelefoons zijn moeilijk te beoordelen. Te veel variabelen spelen een rol. Tot en met de vorm van het hoofd van de gebruiker. Gemeten goede respons met heel lage vervorming. Behalve een hoge bubbel tussen 100-300 en een dalletje van 300-500. Dat vertaalt zich op smartphones en laptops op goed laag. Maar bij betere apparatuur op te veel en wat onderdrukt midden. In het hoog rond, 5khz een piekje dat tot wat schril hoog leidt. Een beetje EQ is dus aangewezen en dan klinkt hij echt goed. Beter dan veel duurdere modellen. Oorkussen kunnen vervangen worden. Die hebben de reputatie wat te snel te verweren.

Ok nu even een iets mindere maar vanuit mij bekeken een objectieve en eerlijke recensie.
Qua geluid is er wat mij betreft helemaal niets op aan te merken , hoog en laag in goede balans met een prima geluidssterkte voor wie meer wil dan enkel kwaliteit ten koste van het volume (zie theorie achter de impedantie) , helaas vind ik het comfort met de dag irritanter worden nl , het ding knelt nogal op mijn hoofd (misschien is mijn hoofd te groot :) ) en ook het afgesloten systeem is zo afgesloten dat ik na een tijdje mn bloed hoor stromen en mn hart hoor kloppen in mn headphone en ook de earpads gaan na een tijdje behoorlijk zweten dankzij de bekleding. Kortom geen ding voor mij om langer dan een uur op te hebben en mijn volgende is zeker eentje met stoffen bekleding en luchtdoorlatende oorschelpen.

These are the best headphones I've owned by far! They provide a perfectly balanced output and remain comfortable even after long sessions. I find them ideal for mixing/recording, but the included extra cables give them more versatility to use them on a daily basis to listen to music at the gym or at home.

Magistraal. Materiaalkwaliteit ligt ook zeer hoog, niet kapot te krijgen. Na 3 jaar nog steeds mijn baby. Ook heel leuk dat je bij beroemde artiesten en muzikanten dit model vaak voorbij ziet komen, weer een bevestiging dat het echt een goeie is.
