These headphones have special drivers and an acoustically transparent housing of aluminium 'honeycomb' mesh, a perforated material with hexagonal holes. The headphones deliver accurate and natural open-back audio reproductions. All in all, the ATH-R70x headphones are robust, lightweight studio headphones with wonderful wearing comfort. Delivery includes a double-sided detachable cable.

Wrote the following about Audio Technica ATH-R70x studio headphones

Je le teste de puis quelques jours et suis très satisfsait.

A la première écoute j'ai été saisi par la qualité de la spatialisation du son (comparé à mon bon vieux sennheiser hd25).

Les aigus sont bien détaillés, les basses profondes. Peut-être un peu moins bon dans les médiums mais cela reste un excellent casque.

A voir dans la durée après quelques mixs et mastering plus détaillés.

Ce casque délivre une écoute neutre et aérée avec un bon niveau de détails. Dans cette gamme de prix d'autres casques font mieux sur un ou deux critères mais l'AT reste globalement un des casques les plus homogènes du marché avec le HD 650. En conclusion il n'excelle nulle part mais il est très bon partout. Son impédance élevée (470 ohms) nécessitera par contre une source délivrant un bon courant.
