The DT 1770 PRO headphones are the next evolutionary step up from the DT 770 PRO reference headphones, which have been the sound engineer's go-to studio monitors for decades. Thanks to the closed design, these headphones boast excellent sound isolation, but the real perk is the fitted set of Tesla 2.0 drivers, which not only support an enormously high SPL level but guarantee incredible sound and resolution. This is the 250 Ohm edition.

As well as monitoring during the recording, mixing and mastering phases, these headphones can also come in handy on stage. And, because comfort plays a big role when picking out a set of headphones, these next-gen DTs don't just deliver on sound quality, but feature a masterfully innovative design, including an ergonomic headband that prevents too much pressure being applied on the head. Some of the high quality materials that have gone into the construction of these headphones are the same that are used for professional sports clothing, resulting in a set of studio headphones that can be worn for hours on end, day after day without irritation.

Accessories

The 1770 PRO headphones come including two cables: a three-metre long straight cable and a five-metre long coiled cable. Both cables are single sided, detachable and have been fitted with a 3-pin mini XLR plug on the headphone side and a 3.5mm mini-jack to 6.3mm jack adapter has also been included for the equipment side. But that's not everything, because Beyerdynamic have also thrown in an extra pair of leather ear cushions and a hard case.

Beyerdynamic DT 1770 PRO 250 Ohm

Very impressed with the quality of the sound and detail. They handle bass frequencies and loudness very well. I noticed the beat transients weren’t as pronounced as my in ear monitors and the sound stage wasn’t quite as wide, also I used an eq to put slightly more gain onto the top end because I found the headphones sound signature to be slightly darker than what I’m used to. Other than this they are very comfortable and nice to use.

Beyerdynamic DT 1770 PRO 250 Ohm

The sound is next level. Amazing sound imaging. They let you hear every little thing within a track and are great for mixing and mastering. Long-wearing and comfortable and the interchangeable pads are a nice touch. I can't fault them. Not cheap but they're 100% worth the investment.

Na een uurtje hoofdtelefoons vergelijken bij Bax, toch een van de duurdere modellen uitgekozen. Ik zocht een hoofdtelefoon die het geluid zo natuurgetrouw mogelijk weergeeft, omdat ik met een Quad Cortex gitaar modeler werk (ook bij Bax besteld overigens). Deze hoofdtelefoon is ook heerlijk om muziek mee te luisteren, je hoort echt aan de geluidskwaliteit dat de kosten niet opgegaan zijn aan bluetooth, noise canceling en andere snufjes. Er zitten geen knoppen op de hoofdtelefoon, wel krijg je heel attent 2 snoeren, 1 krul snoer en een langer gewoon snoer plus vervangende oorkussens. De etui die je erbij krijgt is wat groot, maar waarschijnlijk beschermt dat beter.
