If you're looking for a simple set of studio monitors that won't break the bank, then these Fostex PM0.3d active 2-way studio monitors are a great option. They can also be used as a multimedia speaker set, or as a high-quality 2.0 system.
Features of the PMO.3 active studio monitor set
Each speaker in this Fostex set features a 3-inch woofer, equipped with a fibreglass cone and a 3/4-inch silk dome tweeter to enhance the high frequencies. What's more, one of the two monitors has a 2x 15-watt Class-D amplifier module to deliver the kind of power you need. By means of a simple cable, you can send one of the two channels to the passive monitor. The active version has a blue indication LED on the front panel.
Monitor design and construction
For optimal audio characteristics, Fostex chose a fully-wooden construction for the cabinet housing. The front panel, otherwise known as the baffle, has rounded corners and is available in three colour variations. This particular version is white, which matches beautifully with a clean, white interior. What's more, this 0.3d version is equipped with an energy-saving function that switches the monitor off automatically after several minutes of inactivity.

Bien sur ce ne sont pas des enceintes prévue pour sonoriser un salon, mais pour un usage multimédia elles sont parfaites. jolie finition, son très correct pour leur taille... La finition est plutôt bonne (rapport au prix). Elles sont livrées avec des pieds en caoutchouc pour les orienter vers l'utilisateur. Mise en veille automatique (la led à l'avant devient rouge) pas de ploc au démarrage.

Per medi e acuti direi che ci siamo. Ben fatte e carine da vedere. Molto piccole per cui è facile trovare il posto per posizionarle. Non ho capito le recensioni negative sui cavi inclusi nella confezione che girano in Internet: mi sembrano dei normalissimi cavi e non hanno dato alcun problema. Non ho avuto tempo di misurarle con Clio di AUdiomatica per capire se i 110Hz <-> 20KHz +/-3dB sono reali o meno. Primo usavo delle case con i controlli di tono per alti e bassi e dovevo tenerl al massimo per sentire qualcosa. Qui non si sente la mancanza dei controlli di tono a patto di associargli un subwoofer.
