General
M-Audio's BX series can be found in many studios. Small wonder, considering it offers excellent sound characteristics and built-in technology that is ideal for home studios for an attractive price. However, M-Audio deemed the series fit for an update and has introduced a new generation: the BX Carbon series. The BX6 Carbon is the medium model from this upgraded BX series, and bridges the gap between the 5 and 8-inch models with its 6-inch Kevlar woofer. The BX6 is the ideal mid-size speaker for small-scale home studios that like a fair bit of bass.
BX6 Carbon: silver-coloured waveguide
The BX6 Carbon features the latest technology with regards to acoustics and a waveguide that provides an expensive sweet spot, and has an attractive, sleek design to boot. The redesigned waveguide of the BX6 Carbon features a silver-grey finish, which gives the monitor a fresher overall look than its predecessors. The woofer features a Kevlar-reinforced cone and delivers a tight punch, while the soft-dome tweeter produces luscious trebles. The components are efficiently powered by built-in 130-watt bi-amp technology, resulting in distortion-free audio, even at a high volume.
Connectors and acoustics
The M-Audio BX6 Carbon doesn't only look fantastic, but offers some impressive acoustic technology as well. The BX6 is equipped with Acoustic Space Control - a compensation system that enables you to either boost or reduce certain frequencies to match the acoustic environment of the speaker. A great benefit if one or more of your monitors are positioned near a wall! An LED indicator located in the waveguide tells you when your monitor has been efficiently placed. All in all, this M-Audio BX6 Carbon is a great, versatile active studio monitor.

la bx6 fait très largement son job aussi,bonne qualité,
seul bémol pour les infra-basses qui sortent par l'arrière...néanmoins ça reste un bon achat.

Maar naargelang voor wat je ze gebruikt zijn ze wél top!
Ik maak muziekmixen voor shows en voorstellingen, dus hoef geen echte pastering te doen. Voor mij doet deze set het perfect!
Ze klinken wel net iets te schel. Zeker als je lang aan één stuk aan het werken bent. Maar ik heb ze net iets hoger gezet dan "in de handleiding staat" en voor mijn toepassing is het opgelost. Dus de woofer op ooghoogte.
Van mij niets dan lof!
Perfect voor home-studio'tjes en home-dj's.
