General
Presonus develop and produce mixers and monitors made specifically for both live and studio audio. All Presonus-made gear embodies the smart principle of providing expensive sound at an affordable price and, as such, this Eris MTM-Series near-field studio monitor is no exception. Treated to the MTM configuration, the tweeter has been nestled between a pair of mid-woofers. This not only provides an optimised stereo image but a much more balanced frequency response and a much larger sweet spot when compared to that of more conventional speaker configurations.
The Presonus Eris E44: Like Seeing Double
The two 4.5-inch woofers have been designed to produce the same frequency range and have been precisely positioned so that their acoustic centre is separated by no more than one wavelength, making the sound waves emitting from both woofers behave as a combined, single wave. These relatively small woofers therefore sound like a much larger single woofer, allowing the speaker cabinet to remain fairly compact while delivering a fat sound.
Transparent and Cohesive Audio
Due to the MTM configuration, the audio reproduction of the E44 remains intact both on and off-axis. This gives you more flexibility in terms of listening position since the sweet spot is a lot bigger than standard studio monitors, and you have the added benefit of incredible transparency. The woofers are made of woven Kevlar; a material that has a lighting-fast and accurate response to all frequencies, and that's been woven in a particular way to prevent the reflections that can sometimes occur on the surface of the woofer. This means that any audio signal sent through will be kept as close to the original as possible. Around the back of this already outstanding reference monitor, the Acoustic Space function can be found and adjusted to calibrate the monitor according to the acoustic properties of the room.

In een kleine muziekkamer thuis wou ik een systeem om mijn piano te versterken, de ingebouwde versterker en speakers zijn immers maar 6 watt. In eerste instantie de Mackie's CR4X-BT gekocht maar die vielen een beetje tegen, te veel bas en te weinig hoge tonen, de piano klonk echt niet natuurlijk. Het is hier eigenlijk ook niet echt voor gemaakt....maar de Eris 44 misschien ook niet ? Ik vind het in ieder geval een betere studio monitor dan de Mackie's.
Dit Eris 44 systeem geeft een zeer natuurlijke klank voor mijn Yamaha piano en vooral ; bas, treble en middentonen zijn apart regelbaar. Dit 50 w systeem is ook zwaar genoeg voor mijn kleine muziekkamer en is ook compact genoeg. Ik overweeg een 2e te kopen om toch stereo te kunnen hebben, maar plaatsgebrek is echt een spelbreker....;-(

je les ai placés en position horizontale qui est sensée améliorer l'image stéréo et augmenter la zone de "sweet spot" bon OK si Presonus le dit .... En tout cas j'aime bien les évent de basses sur le devant et les réglages simples et complets à l'arrière. Elles acceptent d'être branchées en XLR, RCA ou Jack 6,35. J'ai essayé XLR et RCA c'est kif kif.
Il faut attendre que je les utilise plus longtemps évidemment mais pour l'instant j'en suis très satisfait.
