Mytho 8: Technology

Of course a monitor of this caliber is equipped with a bi-amplification module. A mature 200 Watts of power is available for the low frequencies and a further 100 Watts for the high frequencies. The amplifiers are class AB, resulting in especially low distortion and a superb natural sound. The 8-inch woofer of the Mytho 8 has a large 51mm voice coil with a strong magnet, for tight, controlled lows with minimal power compression. Finally, the 1-inch aluminium dome tweeter ensures the crystal clear high-frequency reproduction from a crossover frequency of 1,800 Hz.

Housing

A monitor speaker is only successful if every element is balanced. That's why RCF put a lot of thought into the housing. Made of die-cast aluminium, it features a rounded design with an integrated adjustable stand installed. There are also a number of internal reinforcements that work to avoid unwanted resonance, but that also function to make the low frequencies more transparent and direct so the sound doesn't come off as strained. Finally, the tweeter has a constant directivity waveguide, which results in a harmonious sweet spot, as frequency ranges don't conflict with one another but maintain balance when they reach the ear.
