Samson's MediaOne M50 is a versatile set of monitors for music production, gaming or video editing. It features a 5.25-inch woofer and a 0.75-inch tweeter which deliver solid audio in a top-quality cabinet. The housing is made of wood, which absorbs vibrations and keeps unwanted noise to a minimum. The M50 makes sure that, regardless of which activity you're doing, the audio reproduction is optimal. It delivers powerful lows and smooth highs, and if the lows aren't low enough, you can activate the Bass Boost function. This 40-watt monitor set is the result of two decades of knowledge and experience in the development and manufacturing of top-notch professional studio monitors.

De luidsprekers klinken beter dan verwacht voor het geld. Op dat vlak zeker een aanrader. De bass boost functie maakt wel degelijk een verschil, maar ik verkies het geluid zonder. Ik heb er een aparte subwoofer op aangesloten, om net dat beetje meer lage tonen te hebben.

Ze klinken dus zeker niet goedkoop, maar de afwerkingskwaliteit maakt wel geen al te beste indruk. Eén luidspreker was nieuw uit de doos nogal 'vuil', en de tweeter van de 2e luidspreker maakt bij momenten een wat zinderend geluid. Ik weet nog niet of het de tweeter is die nieuw uit de doos al een defect vertoont, of het is omdat de tweeter wat los in zijn behuizing zit. Ik zal er nog wat meer naar luisteren de komende dagen en op basis daarvan beslissen of ze al dan niet terug mogen wegens nieuw uit de doos gehaald en toch niet helemaal OK.

Geluid dus heel OK voor het geld (4-5 sterren), bouwkwaliteit voorlopig een twijfelgeval (2-3 sterren).

Na 3 jaar genoten te hebben van mack** cr4 moet ik toch wel zeggen.
Wat zijn ze goed!!! Echt meer dan ik had veracht.
Voor de prijs kwaliteit verhouding echt super. Zonder sub prima, zoizo te horen wat er gebeurt met de lage tonen. Maar met een subwoofer er bij (die ik in dit geval nog had liggen van 150watt) echt super!

Zeker een aanrader.

Achterkant ziet er iets wat anders uit als de foto laat zien..
