Fortunately, so you can get that warm, analogue sound without having to give up your digital workflow, there's the Rupert Neve Shelford Series 5057 Orbit Summing Mixer. Equipped with a Silk mixbus circuit, this 'summer' serves up two subtle, transformer-based flavours to add to your mixes: Red provides an extra dose of high-end sparkle, while Blue solidly reinforces the low-end. In addition to standard balanced outputs, the Orbit even comes with a -6dB output so you can fire up the mix bus without sending your converters into overdrive and, if the 16 built-in channels aren't enough for you, you can always couple up multiple Orbits using the Link I/O, combine the mixer with the even more comprehensive 5059 Satellite, or use it as an expansion for the 5060 Centerpiece.
