Triple Pedal: Characteristics

The Nord Triple Pedal offers unmatched functionality, with the addition of a Pedal Noise function that reproduces the sounds a mechanical pedal would make during use. Along with that, you also get the option of half-pedaling, release and catch technology. The right pedal is the sustain pedal, which you can use for sustaining notes. When you use this pedal with an acoustic grand or piano, many different sounds are produced by the mechanic components. A number of those sounds can be reproduced by the Nord Stage 2 piano, and then edited with the pedal.

The left pedal is the soft pedal, the Una Corda. When you press down on this pedal, all of the notes you play are dampened and have a slightly more restrained tonal quality. Finally, the middle pedal is the Sostenuto, and works on selected notes, allowing other notes to remain unchanged. Only the notes you play at the moment that the pedal is pressed down will be supported; other notes that you play while the pedal is pressed down will not take on the pedal effect.
