While the Meinl MDST8BK snare timbale bears a tight 8 inch diameter, it sounds anything but small. The shell has been made from black-coated steel and comes fitted with a synthetic batter head where the Meinl logo has been printed on the underside to prevent wear. The snare strainer has a nice and quick response, and in the off position, the snare mat is completely muted by an ingenious clamping system. Secure this snare-timbale to any stand or multi-clamp with ease thanks to the 3/8" mounting point, and tune it up to your preferred sweet spot using the set of four tension rods. This is the ideal side-snare for any drummer with a creative itch.
