While it may look very similar to a recorder, Fazley's DR6 is a penny whistle. A recorder has 7 holes on the top and one on the bottom for your thumb, whereas a penny whistle has just 6 holes on the top. Compared to the recorder a penny whistle has a brighter and clearer sound that goes perfectly with instruments like violins or mandolins making it perfect for folk music.
