This double-layer floortom drumhead from Remo is the ES-0618-PS Ebony Pinstripe, finished in black. The dynamic range of this drumhead is slightly smaller than, for example, a Remo Emperor or Remo Ambassador drumhead. However, the sound of this 18-inch tom skin is rich and very defined. Suitable for the music styles funk, R&B, rock and heavy metal.

Wrote the following about Remo ES-0618-PS 18-inch Ebony Pinstripe drum head
Een klassieker, de Remo Pinstripe. Dit dubbellaagsvel klinkt vooral 'vet' en is dan ook erg geschikt voor (heavy)rock en dergelijke muziek. Vel gaat lang mee en kan zonder problemen laag gestemd worden. Er zit een stevige attack in. Als je een lange toon wilt moet je een ander vel kiezen (Remo Emperor bijvoorbeeld).
Ik weet niet of het echt zo is, kan ook gevoelsmatig zijn maar ze lijken ten opzichte van de (gewone Pinstripe) clear vellen wat 'darker' te klinken.
