Hage MusikVerlag EH 1516 Ancient Masters for Trombone and Piano/Organ trombone book

General

This book is for trombone players looking for repertoire beyond the standard method books. It brings together 29 popular works by composers such as Bach, Haydn, Mozart and Schubert, spanning the baroque to the romantic period. Franz Kanefzky arranged the melody and accompaniment parts so that they sit comfortably under the fingers while still sounding convincing. Because each part can be played with either piano or organ, the book works equally well in a concert setting or during a solemn church service. Across its 88 pages in A4 format, the collection is pitched at difficulty level 4 out of 6, making it a good match for the slightly more advanced trombonist.
