Deze Epiphone Hummingbird is een (bijna) exacte kopie van de bekende Hummingbird Western gitaar.
Waarom ‘bijna’? Omdat het enige verschil hierin de stemmechanieken zijn. Klein detail, maar toch.

Door de aanwezigheid van de passieve pick-up sluit je hem eenvoudig aan op elke versterker waardoor de klank verder bepaald wordt door de versterker of mixer.
Ik heb meerdere ukuleles en oké, deze Epiphone haalt het akoestisch niet bij een APC, Big Island of Flight maar daar is hij ook niet voor gekocht. Belangrijkste is dat hij goed bespeelbaar is, netjes is afgewerkt èn dus een opvallende verschijning is.
Kortom: een leuke aanvulling voor wanneer je iets bijzonders zoekt voor niet al te veel geld maar wat wel goed bruikbaar moet zijn.
