Impressive on every level, this edition of the Kala U-Bass doesn't just feature the impressive looks of a unique, striped ebony build but the flexibility of Fishman U-Bass electronics. This is one of the most high-end Kala offerings, so it comes fitted with an ultra-stable set of Hipshot Ultralite machine heads, a Graph Tech TUSQ nut and the bridge has been finished with a composite saddle. Plugged into an acoustic amplifier, the double-bass-style sound of the Kala U-Bass Striped Ebony Fretted uke is faithfully translated by an exclusive pickup and preamp system, which can be dialled in via the side-mounted controls. And, since this model has been fully prepped for the stage, it also comes pre-wrapped in its own padded and form-fitting gig bag.
