Sometimes I like to gently strum my classical guitar and Cordoba Mini guitar with the padded part of my fingers but it's sometimes hard to get a consistent sound that way. I tried making my own soft plectrums but finding the right material is difficult. These are made from 3 pieces of felt glued together to make a sandwich of thin-thick-thin felt that ends up around 7mm thick. I bought a pack of these to try them out and I am very happy with them. They are very cheap and I will probably buy a lot more in my next order. I may also buy some of the wider Dunlop 8011 felt plectrums which are wider.

Een fijne plectrum alleen het vasthouden gaat moeilijk.

Heel eerlijk gezegd had ik nog nooit gehoord van een vilten plectrum. Ik kreeg mijn Ukelele met mijn verjaardag maar had alleen een kunststof plectrum nog van mijn gitaar. Die was te hard. Mijn duim voelde niet prettig met aanslaan dus bestelde ik de Pickboy vilt plectrum. Meteen toen ik hem kreeg uit geprobeerd. Geweldig om te gebruiken. Fijn om vast te houden en het geluid wat het geeft met aanslaan top. Gelukkig heb ik er drie in een keer besteld. Voorraad voor als ik er een verlies of kwijtraak. Heel blij mee.

Ik gebruik deze plectrums bij mij Turkse saz gitaar. Met de saz zijn de snaren heel kort tegen de hout aan en zelfs wanneer je voorzichtig speelt tik je welles tegen de hout aan. Met deze viltplectrum is dat tik geluid verleden tijd. De plectrum is makkelijk vast te houden, vanwege de vilt is er geen geluid wanneer je per ongeluk de (saz) gitaar raakt tijdens spelen.
