The body and neck are made of mahogany, wood that produces a warm, balanced sound with a rounded projection and pleasing resonance. The silk (satin) finish emphasises the natural beauty of the wood and gives the ukulele a refined, artisanal look. On the top surface is a laser engraving of a hibiscus flower, designed by Maori artist Sam Mangakahia.
