Designed from the ground up to streamline the audiovisual post production process, the Blackmagic Design Speed Editor lines up a full deck of tactile controls to make editing faster, more comfortable, and easier than working with a standard-issue mouse and keyboard. The giant rotary search knob supports accurate scrolling and features a rubber coating to give it a soft yet high-grip feel beneath the fingers, and since the whole thing comes housed in a solid metal box, it can survive work on location as well as in studios.

Intuitive Control & Function Keys

Besides the big search knob, the Resolve Speed Editor supplies all of the essential control keys needed for video editing. Hit keys once, hold them down, or double-tap to trigger a range of primary and secondary functions, and by pressing down the Source key, a traditional 'source tape' function is simulated, allowing the user the spool the 'tape' to rewind and fast-forward media. This unit also boasts an on-board Bluetooth module and rechargeable battery so it can be set up cable free. Or it can simply be hooked up via USB-C, which also doubles as a charging port.
