General
The Stentor SR1866QE Messina 16.5-inch (4/4) is a viola from the high-quality Pro Series, made entirely by hand. Each instrument is crafted in a specialist workshop under the supervision of a master luthier. There, selected spruce for the top and beautifully figured maple for the back, sides and neck ensure a refined resonance. Finished with a traditional shellac varnish applied by hand, the Messina not only has a beautiful appearance but also a warm, open tone. Details such as the ebony fingerboard and tuning pegs, together with the professional Pirastro strings, make this viola an attractive choice for the serious musician seeking quality and playing comfort.
