Hage MusikVerlag EH 1506 100 Easy Duets for 2 Violins violin book

General

Finding duets that challenge beginning violinists without discouraging them isn't always easy. This book offers a solution with a hundred light to very light duets for two violins, each playable in the first position, so you can start straight away without tricky finger placements. The repertoire ranges from cheerful waltzes and Ländler to classical melodies, well-known songs and Christmas carols from around the world, giving plenty of variety along the way. Bowing techniques and phrasing stay deliberately simple throughout, and the difficulty level rises gradually, so you grow along with the book as you progress. By the end of the second chapter you get a first taste of jazz violin playing. The 136 pages are clearly notated and held together with spiral binding, which sits conveniently on the music stand.
