General

Specially developed for baroque instruments, the Pirastro Chorda string set offers an authentic sound. The E, A and D strings are made of pure gut, while the G string is wound with silver-plated copper wire. The low string tension provides a comfortable playing feel, ideal for a baroque violin. This set is designed for 440 Hz tuning, but a 'strong' gauge G string can be used for 415 Hz. This set is perfect for musicians who want to achieve the typical baroque sound.
