General

Due to their size, Jumbo guitars do not fit in a standard flight bag. Gator has therefore designed a special bag, the GL-Jumbo. This rugged bag is somewhere between a flight case and a sleeve, hence the term flight bag. It follows the contours of your jumbo guitar perfectly to ensure optimal protection during transport. You can even wear it on your back using the two shoulder straps. Finally, it also has a special front compartment for things like sheet music, tuners and spare strings.

light durable well made and at the price an absolute steal... bargin.. gonna get another one and ditching my wooden case

Ideaal, snap niet waarom deze tussenvorm niet eerder werd gemaakt (of misschien overheen gekeken), maar ik zie naast Gator maar 1 ander merk die dit soort dingen maakt. In elk geval stevig en goed om de schouders te doen, combineert dus de beste dingen van een koffer en een tas. Ik snap wel onderstaand bericht waarin wat twijfels zijn over de schouderbanden. Gator zou misschien eens naar de nord tassen kunnen kijken ter inspiratie. Verder tot dusver geen klachten, perfect voor m'n epiphone j200 jumbo model gitaar.

Topding, stevig en toch lichtgewicht, mijn Jumbo past er perfect in.
Vraag me wel af of de plastic bevestigings haken voor de draagbanden op de achterkant op den duur niet stuk zullen gaan, een sterker materiaal zou daarvoor waarschijnlijk beter zijn geweest. Vandaar nog niet helemaal zeker van een 5 sterren beoordeling, maar de tijd zal het leren. En mochten ze ooit stuk gaan, dan kun je de case altijd nog aan de handgreep dragen. Zo zal ik de case zelf waarschijnlijk meestal gaan dragen.

een case zoals je van Gator mag verwachten, kwalitatief gewoon goed en in vergelijking met een hardcase lekker licht van gewicht.

Echter is er wel een minpuntje en dat is dat er in ce modellen een equalizer zit maar in de flightbag hier geen rekening mee gehouden is.

Met een beetje creativiteit, geduld en lef om in je nieuwe flightbag te gaan snijden is dat snel opgelost.

Kortom....The best of both worlds....
