General
When you need to connect multiple DMX signals to various fixtures, a DMX splitter like the Ayra OSO 8DIS-H is the way to go. Sometimes, the distance between the lighting and your controller is simply too far to reach with cables. That's why Ayra has developed the OSO 8DIS-H that splits your signal into eight isolated DMX outputs and offers wireless functionality in combination with the OSO W-D transmitter.
OSO 8DIS-H in action
The Ayra OSO 8DIS-H is an ideal partner for use in situations where you want to control different groups of DMX fixtures from a central point. That's contrary to how DMX usually works, which is essentially a daisy-chaining principle. Simply supply the OSO 8DIS-H with a signal via a DMX cable, or the separately-available DMX transmitter from the OSO W-D set, and you can tackle any lighting challenge with a stable signal. The isolated outputs prevent any interference between lines.
Wireless DMX
If you'd like to take advantage of the OSO 8DIS-H's wireless functionality, then you'll need the OSO W-D transmitter. The OSO 8DIS-H functions as a receiver, and by setting both devices to the same ID, you can set up a reliable signal distribution in no time. The wireless function in the ID automatically searches for available frequencies in the 2.4GHz band, which is commonly used for mobile devices like laptops and smartphones. Using the buttons on the side, you can set any of the IDs based on a colour-coding system.
