The famous American percussion brand Latin Percussion has designed various modern reiterations of the classic wood block. This particular one is called the Blast Block, and it's made from the highly durable Bellastic material (which was developed by Latin Percussion itself). As their name implies, Blast Blocks offer a loud, explosive sound.
This model, the yellow LP-1305, is the high-pitched Blast Block, while the green LP-1307 has a lower pitch. All in all, the incredibly durable and loud Latin Percussion Blast Block is a great fit for any drum kit or percussion setup, whether you're an amateur or a professional, and it can be mounted to any 3/8-inch rod.
