The SKB Removable Shock Rack 4U from the 30-inch 3RR series is designed to safely transport delicate 19-inch rack-mounted equipment. The case is made from LMDP (Linear Medium Density Polyethylene) and meets or exceeds MIL-STD 810H. This makes it lightweight for its class, but above all strong and reliable under intensive use. The construction is water- and dust-tight, as well as resistant to heat and chemicals. Ideal for touring, hire, AV installations and anyone who wants to transport electronics without subjecting them to shocks.

Fully removable rack chassis

The rack chassis slides out of the inner rack frame and is fully removable. This is handy, as it allows you to assemble or maintain your equipment with full access on a workbench, without having to tinker inside the case itself. The chassis is secured using a patent-pending ‘positive lock’ system with two die-cast latches at the front. This efficiently transfers shock and vibration loads to the elastomeric isolators. As standard, the payload capacity is 40 to 150 lb; an extension to 160 to 300 lb is available as a special order (installation by SKB).

Ready for transport and stacking

The 3RR series is 30 inches deep from rail to rail and has a standard 19-inch rack width in accordance with EIA/ECA-310-E. The square-hole rack rails are compatible with #10-32 (US) or 6 mm (international) cage nuts; these are supplied as standard. You receive a 2-inch-deep front cover and a 5-inch-deep rear cover, ensuring that even rack equipment longer than 30 inches can fit. With edge castors, 8 spring-loaded handles, gasket-sealed lids with lid hangers, a pressure relief valve and stacking ribs/lugs, this is a genuine workhorse for on the move.
