General
IGS Audio's NE573 is a microphone preamplifier based on a certain classic model, but in 500-series format. On the front panel is an XLR/Jack combination socket. That makes it possible to connect microphones, but also, for example, a guitar or bass. A Hi-Z switch then controls the high impedance required by a guitar. The standard impedance can be switched between 300 Ohms and 1.2 kOhm. So three different impedances are available. A large red knob controls the gain and there is also an output control and 48-volt phantom power and the ability to reverse phase.
