General

The IGS Audio Tubecore 500 is a 500-series tube compressor module. The vacuum tubes and transformers in the input and output provide a pleasant sound: one of the reasons why analogue equipment is so popular. The components are carefully chosen to have matching values without deviations. This ensures the most consistent electronics and therefore the best results. It is based on the Vari-mu concept, a compression method used in the most legendary tube compressors. Among other things, the Tubecore 500 works well on vocals, drums and guitars and manages to make them sound nice and big. However, when you use two of the modules together, they are also ideal for mastering and stereo applications.
