General

IGS Audio's Vanad 500 is a preamp that can be used for microphones as much as instruments. 'Re-amping' of previously recorded tracks is also possible. For this 500-series module, the XLR connection on the cabinet can be used, but it also features a combined XLR/jack input on the front plate, which also has a Hi-Z switch. This allows it to be used for instruments that require a high-impedance input. It features a highpass filter, which removes frequencies below 30 or 100 Hz, such as noise or hum. The rotary knobs operate in 3 dB steps.
