General

The Rodec M 501 mic/line preamp with EQ is a 500 series module developed for the true studio purist. At its core are two discrete 6-pin socketed opamps and high-quality Lundahl input and output transformers, resulting in harmonic richness, punch and crystal-clear sound. With up to 70 dB of gain, you'll effortlessly amplify sensitive ribbon microphones as well as powerful line signals. A 20 dB pad switch gives you control over even the hottest sources, and with switchable 48V phantom power, you're ready for condenser microphones. The LED gain meter helps with precise adjustment, while the output attenuation lets you give opamps and transformers just a little extra character, without overloading further equipment. The EQ section consists of Low and High bands inspired by the legendary MX-18, extended with a fully parametric mid that can be used both wide and surgical - conveniently bypassed for a pure signal path.
