The Visaton W 170 - 8 Ohm is a 6.5-inch hi-fi woofer that stands out for its excellent price-performance ratio. Thanks to its output of 40 watts RMS (with peaks up to 70 watts) and sensitivity of 87 dB (1W/1m), this woofer delivers convincing sound in both simple 2-way systems and in speakers for your car's rear window. With a wide frequency range up to 6000 Hz and solid build quality, the W 170 - 8 Ohm is not only suitable for new projects, but also serves well as a replacement in existing Hi-Fi speaker cabinets. The woofer has a nominal impedance of 8 Ohms, a reasonably compact size and a relatively light construction of only 0.77 kg, making it easy to apply in various enclosures.
